More changes are coming to the WorldRadio online edition per a link from ARRL website.
Effective with the February 2014 issue of CQ, said Ross, content from the
magazine’s three sister publications — Popular
Communications, CQ
VHF and WorldRadio Online
— will be incorporated into CQ’s digital edition as a supplement to
be called CQ Plus. The print editions of Popular Communications
and CQ VHF will be phased out, and WorldRadio Online will no
longer exist as a separate online publication. Current Popular
Communications, CQ VHF and WorldRadio Online subscribers will
be converted to CQ subscribers and receive CQ Plus at no
additional charge. Details will be posted on each magazine’s website.

I am a current WorldRadio subscriber, should be interesting to see how it turns out.

June CQ Magazine
The June edition of CQ magazine was delivered this afternoon and it looks like another good read. The QRP edition a few months back was wonderful.
A quick glance at the contents page showed a few QRP and portable articles which are always a favorite of mine. I always get a few great tips and ideas to use when out in the field or better yet these sometimes get me motivated to get up and go.
Between the local paper, hockey playoffs, & Chef Ramsey yelling in my living room tonight I will add in CQ Magazine.
Enjoy your evening.

Sunspot Basics
The May 2010 CQ magazine has an easy to read article on sunspots. The sun plays such an important part in our on air activities. I sometimes do not pay enough attention to the sun and how it effects band conditions.
The write up also mentions NASA's new Solar Dynamics Observatory, that I posted a video of previously. Future photos and videos from the $858 million SDO satellite should be must see type of stuff.
CQ magazine is a nice simply down to earth easy read that the beginner can understand. I just wish they would put more kids on the cover, might help generate a younger crowd to the hobby.
