Monitoring Times

Just saw on the Monitoring Times homepage that the December 2013 issue will be the last.

After 33 years Bob Grove will be retiring this fine magazine. I was a subscriber many years ago and still pick up a copy on the newsstand every so often. This was one of my favorites reads to bring on the beach during vacation. The July edition features The Heathkit Legacy.

I hate to see radio/electronic magazines going away.

In this day and age they may never be replaced.

  1. I'm really sorry to hear the. MT was the only magazine I ever subscribed to that I read every issue cover to cover.

I feel just like I did when M*A*S*H* ended...

  2. Hi John,
I agree MT was a cover to cover read and at least you
can still catch M*A*S*H* on reruns but not the same.
    Regards,

  3. This was one of the magazines that got me interested in ham radio via shortwave. Sorry to see it go.

  5. This is sad news. I have been reading MT for 20 years. It took me from Shortwave to Ham Radio and then I brought my children into ham radio. Now my children are very involved. Very sad day, but I wish them the best. 73 KC9URR
