Well 10 days later my power just came on at 4:00PM this afternoon.
It has been a long cold week and will be glad to get back into a routine again starting tomorrow. My neighbor was able to keep me going with 1 outlet from his generator which powered the TV, light, and a space heater.
It was a pleasure to heat up the house and tonight will be nice the read the local newspaper.
10 days is a very long time without power.
More tomorrow.
Goodnight!
Hi Jim, good to hear from you. I was wondering how it was with you in NJ after Sandy. I saw that a lot of power cables are above ground in the USA. All those power lines. We have all power cables in the ground in the Netherlands. No problems with strong winds and falling trees. Or icy conditions in winter. 73 Paul
ReplyDeleteHi Paul,
ReplyDeleteNice to be back in the swing of things. Your right just about all power lines are above ground except for new developments. Large trees, power lines, and wind create a big mess. The cost to put them underground is $$$$$ & $$. But it seems like every year the storms are getting worse. Lots of people still without power.
Best Regards,
Jim
