Here's a few cool ones off the list:

1925: Fax machine, Still use one at work but email is taking over.

1947: Transistor, Where would we be without it.

1963: Touch tone phone, replacing rotary dials, remember those, dialing a wrong number was a hassle.

1980: Digital cellular telephone technology: WOW
