On a extremely clear night I can see the WTC lights from my backyard. It is overcast this evening so will have to see when it gets dark out.
I thinks it's a great thing the city of New York does every year.

Here is a fun easy project I came across on the Make site for hacking the aircraft band. It seems like we all have a few of those old AM/FM transistor radios laying around the house.
This simple project instructs you how to tune in the aircraft band with just a few small adjustments.
